The OSCOLA Guide provides an appendix regarding how other jurisdictions cite cases. Brown v. ‘ibid’. o Example: 33. Knowing how to cite sources for assignments is a hugely important skill. Even if you’re still at school, learning how to reference now means you won’t get caught out at university.

eller a.a. rekommenderas inte längre vid hänvisning till  Ibid. is an abbreviation for the Latin word ibīdem, meaning “in the same place”. So in the context of OSCOLA referencing, it quite simply means that you are referring to the source cited in the preceding footnote. Full citation without the case name because it is mentioned in the text.

The only Latin term that is acceptable to use within the OSCOLA style is ‘ibid’, for the instances when you are referring to the same source in consecutive footnotes.

Ibid is used to refer to an immediately preceding authority, either exactly as it has been cited, or at a different page number. In the first case, only the term 'Ibid', is

It is used in subsequent citations to refer to a previously cited footnote, but where other publications have been referred to in footnotes in between.
